A look at what's going on in Trinidad, on H Street, and in the larger area north of Capitol Hill.

New Flea Market in the Wholesale Food District

P1010121

I noticed this sign last Saturday morning. There is new flea market located in Gallaudet's overflow parking lot (located right next to the DC Farmers Market). I didn' go in, but I walked by carrying my groceries from Litteri's & the farmers market. It looked like a mix of items. There was new merchandise as well as a sizable collection of garage sale worthy items.

A dj?? This is a new market. I have no idea if it will be any good, or not. I would say don't think Eastern Market, think small swap meet (apparently with a dj) I do think it is good to attract more people to the area. Prior to the existence of this market the space was an empty lot that served only as overflow parking for Gallaudet.
