Inked -

Off topic, but a while ago you posted a link to a website with all of the soon to come H St establishments between 13th and 15th, I think - mostly of the Englert variety. I don't see it in your sidebar, and I'm having trouble tracking it down. Any chance you could give us the address again?

Thanks.

Yeah, I keep meaning to add that one to the sidebar.

I've been getting coffee there in the morning, but have been wondering about their food. Any comments?

I've had the bagels, sticky buns and sandwiches, and all are great. I highly recommend the food at R&B.

They also make a tasty pumpkin pie, but I don't imagine that's in season right now. It doesn't look like they really have any kitchen space, but a slightly expanded menu would be nice.

Right now there isn't much kitchen space, but they have discussed possibly doing something upstairs in the future.

The BBQ chicken sandwich is outrageously good.

and some of funds are going to a charity the owner of R&B Coffee has started. The festivalis also coming to another place on H Street The Red and Black Bar. Site will be live before the weekend is out.

I love this little place. The sandwiches are made fresh (the mozz and pesto panini is particularly good), the tea selection is nice, and the staff is very professional and polite. I have yet to take my laptop over there, but it's on my to-do list. And I love the restored refigerators!!!

R&B is awesome. I love its vibe. I really see it as our chance to put up or shut up about H Street. It is among the best coffee shops in the city. We should support it with our business, or stop talking about reviving the street.

I second the praise for the BBQ Chicken Sandwich.

R n B coffee is hands down the best thing on H street right now and one of my favorite places, period. If you go there enough the staff makes a point to remember your name. All the sandwiches are great - especially the tuna melt!
