Did anyone else out there find out that their home wasn't water-tight after the past three days of heavy rain? I love my old rowhouse, but I'm not looking forward to the exploratory surgery that will be required to find and plug my two leaks. Also, my advice to all those with an English basement is to make sure your outside drain isn't blocked by leaves. My wife narrowly averted a flooded basement yesterday when she checked it last night and found about three inches of standing water, and rising, outside our basement door.
