Rock & Roll Hotel Update

They've revamped the website, added a newsletter function (so you can keep up to date on all the news), & are now shooting for a September opening. The Rock & Roll Hotel is the large blue building located in the middle of the south side of the 1300 block of H Street. The concept is similar to a smaller 9:30 Club (i.e. live music), except that the Hotel will offer Middle Eastern inspired fare & will have a few theme rooms that can be rented out for private parties.

Have I missed something or does the Palace of Wonders not have a website? I didn't see anything in the links on the sidebar and googling doesn't return anything either. It's not actually possible they don't have one is it...especially when other Englert places not yet open do have on?!?!

Elise--someone has stolen the Granville Moore sign from 1238 H St.

Can you help us get it back???

Would love to see any photos you might have from some time back.

I am an idiot and do not have one.

Thanks--Joe Englert

Mmmm. Middle Eastern. Stopped over to the PoW this evening and had a beer. The outdoor deck is cool but small. It would be fantastic to have a deck next door as well at the same level and let people move between the two places.

No way they do that (adjoining decks). For one thing, the city probably wouldn't allow it. But as a practical matter, each place would be exposed to the liability of the other if there were a underage drinking infraction since it would be difficult to prove which place let the underage patron in.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out, I haven't had the chance to get down there in daylight hours recently.
