We now have a name for the Ethiopian coffee house opening in the 400 block of H Street (417?). Sidamo Coffee & Tea, which replaces a store front church, is conveniently located just down the street from Reader's Lounge (412 H Street). So you can easily pick up an enticing used novel at Reader's and enjoy it over coffee a few doors down.

Does anyone know an anticipated opening date on either of these?
Reader's Lounge is open. I went there about two weeks ago. The owener is very nice. They were still setting up the shop and it looked pretty good.
Is Sidamo going to be on the same side (south) of the street as the reader's lounge? I think 417 is on the north side.
Has anyone been to Red & Black or Palace of Wonders?
Sidamo & REader's Longe are both on the south side. Reader's Lounge is definitely in 421 & since 417 (I'm not entirely sure that 417 is the correct address) is also an odd number, it should be on the same side of the street at 421.
Palace of Wonders looks so great on the inside. They have a back outside deck which I am excited about. Two bars, two levels inside.
Palace of Wonders is VERY cool. I've been going to the Arg just because its on H. Street. The Palace is a bar that I would seek out if it were elsewhere in DC. It already has a very cool vibe/feel to it. I predict great things. Looking forward to R&B as well.
a book store on h street! even a second hand book store is still good! this is great! i've been waiting YEARS for a book store on h street!
This is great news for the mid to western end of H! I really like R&B, but the street is certainly long enough for plural coffee shops.

Yep, should be worth trying. I haven't been impressed with the coffee at ebeneezers (2d & F) although that is a cool space.
Owner of the book store is definitely cool. I stopped by Tuesday. They are cleaning up the basement to create a space for live music eventually. She's also really interested in what sorts of books people in the neighborhood would like to see. She even voluteered to host our neighborhood book club. Stop by and let her know of any particular interests you have. And I don't think it was all used books, unless they were just in REALLY good shape.
What we need is a coffee shop that is open everyday in the morning on the way to work. Everytime I go by R&B coffee it is closed
R&B opens at either 7am, or 7:30am on weekdays. They tried earlier hours, but there was not the traffic to make it worth it.
The yoga studio's website is up.
