A New Place For Olives?

IMG_3064
Caribbean Crescent (1280 5th Street), in the Capital City Market, recently began stocking a nice selection of olives at very attractive prices. 8 different varieties are pictured here. The store also stocks many other interesting items (including a nice selection of lentils & chick peas), and the focus, despite the name, seems to be decidely more Middle Eastern.

Inked -

I've been dying to get to the cap market, but your tours have been far too early for my weekend schedule and the lack of a car has proved trying. Any idea how well public transit serves it?

Man, I gotta run into this place - the olives are way cheaper than litteri's!

Kerry,
the reason we do the tours so early is because the tour takes a while (3-3.5 hours) & also because many things down there down there starts to shut down around 3pm (a wholesale food market traditionally has hours skewed like that). The market is only a couple of blocks from the NY Ave metro & you could also take the 90/92 bus to get there).
