Dancing in the Streets

Now that's not something you see everyday.

In other news, the legislation that would limit the interest charged by payday loan stores was approved by the D.C. Counsel 12-1. Fenty reportedly supports the bill, so it looks like it will be law in due course. There are currently 48 of these stores in the District, with 6-8 of them in the H street area. That's quite a few business to shut down all at once, assuming that is what happens.

Some of the stores that offer other services may try to stick it out w/out the loans, but many of these businesses will close immediately.

I thought that the H street festival was great. I do wish that the Joy of Motion had had a stage. A short one would have made the kid performers a lot more visible.

No offense guys, but I'm going to grab the last two comments just cause I'm of the same opinion as the last comment that what was said might be a little personally hurtful & lots of people do read this blog. So just to be nice...they're gone.
