Don Pepe Bakery and Cafe is a new place in the Florida Market. It's an extension (it's next door) to the store Don Pepe (located at
300 Morse). The store sells Mexican, Salvadorian, and Argentinian food. That's pretty much what the food offerings at the cafe next door reflect.
You'll also find plenty of pastries, and assorted hard to find beverages, like one drink made from black corn.

Yeah, I was in there about two weeks ago (had to pick up 50 lbs. of short ribs @ US Beef for a tailgate); and was really surprised to see the place. They were busy, even at 9am on a Thursday.
inked, not really related to Don Pepe. But I found this floating around in the blogosphere.

Its for the modular places on 12th and Florida. Check out the asking price.
why I found this interesting is that it communicates that some people don't think the New Town redevelopment will happen, or not for a long time, otherwise they wouldn't make this kind of investment.
Similarly, I found out that day (in Sept.) that other property owners are writing or extending term leases, rather than going to month to month leases. That's another indicator about property owner sense of the New Town proposal.
i love this resturant i found good food .
