DCist: So You Think You Can Dance
DCist covers tomorrow's auditions for the Fox show. Auditions runs from 8am-8pm and will be held at the Atlas Performing Arts Center [1333 H Street]. A representative from the Atlas stated that “[t]he line is going to go from in front of the Atlas, past the dance studios and down 13th to G.”

Hey anon, thanks for asking. I think it was successful. Exhausting, but certainly fun. We'll see what sort of additional recognition we get out of it.
I did learn that that there are a lot of people who will go to amazing lengths for a chance to be on TV. There were people in line at 11:30 pm on Wednesday (i know they were supposed to keep a line from forming but i guess they just let it slide.) Those first girls in line were from Florida and upstate NY. There were people here from the whole East coast from what I gathered.
They were rather messy, leaving litter out on the sidewalks which was sort of surprising to me but we sent out of people and the Fox team sent out PAs to keep it clean...
But I really want to thank the neighborhood for being SO supportive, I know the people in line were a little loud, TV crews would approach kids in line and get them to cheer for the cameras.) But for the most part it was a real jolt in the arm for most of us down here. I know SOVA was hopping all day, Frank said it was their best day ever. I only heard one neighbor complaint, from the usual suspect.
I hope we can continue to shine a light on H Street and the really wonderful things that are happening down here. And really we all really rely on the neighborhoods goodwill, good word of mouth and of course actual support. Thanks everyone!
