Is anyone else finding that the phone number is just not working?

I just called and made a reservation so the number is working. I'm guessing they may have just not picked up in time since I let it ring 5 times before someone answered.

They're answering...

You've just gotta keep redialing until it goes through.

All praise to Allah for hipster sushi on the Street of H-ness. While I love me the fish tacos at the 'naut, a little variation can be good. Congrats to the pimps at Sticky Rice.

Sarah, it's a conspiracy. Poo poo can fill you in on all the details.

sarah,

george makes a very good point.

they have caller id, and have purchased phone lists for all of DC. they see who's calling, and either answer, OR DON'T.

clearly, you didn't make the short list.

spend a bit more in/around hstreet, and maybe they'll answer.

in the meantime, i've got window reservations.....

look, listen, and learn. george and hillman can instruct you in that art, as i have no time. i'm busy with projects....

Clearly, the conspiracy theorists are right! I borrowed a phone and they picked up right away :-).

I tried earlier and was told it was for "invited guests" only. Did anyone else hear that?

I called them last night and was able to make a reservation for 7:00pm Friday. They picked up on the 2nd ring. I told them how excited I am to have them open! Where else can you get sushi and tater tots in the same order! Can't wait!

Any early reviews?

I'm sure I'm not the only one anxious to hear from one of the lucky few to attend the soft opening.

Great crab balls, noodles and sushi.

Service was smoother than expected.

Nice people.

Go. Be patient. Give positive feedback. It is their first week but very much on track to be a dining destination..............

We went on Friday and we loved it. Service was a little spotty at first, but they rallied nicely and comped our dessert because it took so long to come out. But the food was really good, plentiful, reasonably priced, and the beer/wine list was more extensive than I had expected. And the tots...why isn't this more widely done? They were almost enough to be a meal in themselves. Definitely a place to check out and become a regular.

We went on Sunday night and loved it!!!! The sticky balls were great - plus fun to order. Sushi was very good. Background music and lighting were both done well. Prices were reasonable and everyone working there seemed to be having a good time. We'll definitely be back soon for some old samurai movies on the projector.

Was there on Sunday evening. The place reeks of cool-ness: the vibe, music, and atmosphere made us feel much more hip than we actually are. The prices on food and drink were all really reasonable, which is a rarity even on H St. We ordered a few sushi rolls and they was just a little better than OK. We wanted the sushi to be so much better. There were some creative rolls which we didn't get to try, but the sticky balls were pretty good. Skip ordering the noodles; they were forgettable, with very little flavor. The bucket of tots were more than enough to feed three hungry stomachs. Overall, I am excited a place like this opened in our 'hood. I look forward to going back often.
