MMMMmmmmmm, Napa.

Off topic, Phish Tea is no more...the turf is up at the Country Club. Here's a pic.

Did Napa for Vanentine's Day with large group (6). We were seated in the upstairs lounge-area! It's super cute and we look forward to going back.

Napa was really hopping on Valentine's Day. Hope that means business is finally on the upswing for them.

RE: Valentines Dinner.

Was my first time at Napa and was somewhat disappointed. The oysters were good as an app, but a fourth would have been nice and made it feel a bit cheap. Wife had the flatbread which she said was good. The lobster dish was completely overwhelmed by the sauce, but very generous amt of lobster.

Tenderloin was good - again very generous portion, but sides uninspiring.

Dessert again was Ok, the foster could have had a bit more cook time and the creme brulee needed a lot more time w/ the torch.

It was busy, busy, so perhaps the shortcomings were due to a busy kitchen but I'd say it was "fair" rather than excellent.

We'll try them on a thursday for the mexican.

I'd go a little heavier on the apps, a little lighter on the main meals - but that's must me.

Good stuff!

We had dinner there last night, since it was a Tuesday there was plenty of room and the service was good.

The rainbow trout on the above menu was amazingly spiced, and not overdone. Ryan had the crab & lobster cake, which was not as flavorful as the trout, but there were nice big pieces of lobster and the risotto was tasty.

The entire evening made me smile and I'm sure I'll be back.
