Trindad Crime Survey

Here is a survey you can take about crime in Trinidad. This is an official survey, not something I put together, so please be serious if you decide to take it. This is not a joke, please don't treat it like one. For the sake of reference, here are the boundaries of Trinidad:
North: Mt. Olivet
South: Florida Avenue
East: Bladensburg Road
West: West Virginia Avenue. Please confine your survey responses to these boundaries.

Can someone distribute these boundaries to the local media please?

For crying out loud, quit whining about the media and focus on the problem.

News reports use general descriptions of areas that people are familiar with, ie Capitol Hill, DuPont, Trinidad.

If there is a murder between H and Florida, should I not care because I live south of H and it's not in "my" neighborhood?

Should I only care if it affects my property values?

We are not talking about property values but accurate reporting by the media. If something happened in Adams Morgan and the media proclaimed that it happened in Columbia Heights or Glover Park, people would be up in arms. It is as if everything happening in NE has been lumped into one area by the media and that is just not accurate. I do hate that they refer to it as the “troubled Trinidad area.”

wait. i thought that this area was called eckington, but now i see it also engulfs ivy city.

and the funny thing is that i live in the swamp puddle part, which isn't even addressed.

i'm mad as hell, and demand a new map AND a new survey!

Hello - this post is about a police survey on perceptions of crime in Trinidad.

You know, the neighborhood where they set up roadblocks last summer.

Where a guy was shot by police about a week ago.

What would it take in your opinion to qualify as "troubled"?

Not to do the comparison between Trinidad and Columbia Heights again, but there was a double shooting in Columbia Heights today and there have been multiple gang shootings across the last few weeks. You don't hear people call it the "notorious" Columbia Heights. Trinidad has obviously had some things going on (mostly last summer), but isn't that much worse than other hoods in DC.
