I ate here last night and give it a BIG thumbs up. The Lebanese salad, hummus, and beef kebab platter were all delicious. The bastilla, though microwaved, was also very good. The decor and music warm up the space. It would be nice if they could find a way to shroud the kitchen and its bright white light from the dining area.

Awesome!! I'm so excited. I just posted a map and list of all the H street places that have opened or are in the works on my blog. DCRowhouse.blogspot.com! If anyone knows more info - let me know.

Went there last night...nice spot for decent, affordable food.
Oct 29, 2009 11:51:00 AM

We ate here last night as well, and loved it! I had the the minced beef pita and she had the chicken kabobs. Both were great!
Thrilled to have a great new place like this just down the street!!

Great news for the souk opening, did someone know about the burlary at unik style 707 h st NE on 10\25\09.
Oct 29, 2009 5:30:00 PM
Anonymous 5:30: is this a different incident from the one that occurred at Unik Style on 10/14, which is still on the front page of Frozen Tropics (at the bottom)? Did they get hit a second time? Or could your date be off, and this is just the same incident?
Oct 29, 2009 5:54:00 PM
yeah, it is different they stole there spyder jackets googi, lrg, about more than 50,000.00 in merchandise black label they are offering reward if someone will come forward with valid clue that will lead to the capture of the person who committed this crime.
Oct 29, 2009 6:15:00 PM
I think the burglary happend between sunday afternoon and early monday 10-25-09
Oct 29, 2009 6:21:00 PM
Wow. That's just awful. Particularly coming after the robbery; but even without.
Oct 29, 2009 6:22:00 PM
I heard the police got one of the suspect for the robbery at gun point at unik style on october 14 they are very close in getting the other 3 masked men.
Oct 29, 2009 6:31:00 PM
did anyone witnessed what happens on october 25 the other incident.
Oct 29, 2009 6:33:00 PM
Why are we talking about the Unik story on the Souk link? Lets comment on the H Street establishment.
Oct 30, 2009 5:24:00 AM
I agree....The food and prices are great. However, whats up with all the bright lights in the front of the house and the large Ikea chandaliers in the front window.
Oct 30, 2009 7:53:00 AM
I actually like it just the way it is. Place is perfect. Reminds me of a lot of the small ethnic places you see in NYC. Just good food at a reasonable price. I'm down with them trying to look high end (e.g. new IKEA looking fixtures) without paying all the money to really look (and be) high end.
Souk team, don't change a thing!
Oct 30, 2009 3:44:00 PM
i am poo poo, and i approve this establishment.
as such, patronize it.
many thanks in advance.
Oct 30, 2009 8:28:00 PM

any update on vendetta?
