I'm a 20002, but I didn't post the name of my neighborhood in my earlier post because I don't know- yet! I live on 8th and L street (the closest major streets are Florida and West Virginia). What's this area called? I believe Trinidad starts at the corner of Wva and Florida, going northeast. Someone said I live in Old Ivy City? Someone else said I'm in the Atlas District? Yet another person said I'm in North Capitol Hill? Hope you can help tell me what neighborhood I live in!!! :)

I think you would officially be considered "Old City 1" or "Near Northeast". It seems as though the whole area North-South from Maryland Ave NE to Florida Ave NE and East-West from 3rd St, NE to 15th St, NE is generally being referred to as the "H Street Corridor" these days - and that is a good thing IMHO.
Farther down from 10th or 12th to 15th (not sure exactly) is probably the "Atlas District". Of course, I think all of the new monikers for this area are Realtor driven - for instance MoCo or SoFlo. I like the inclusive nature of calling this entire area the H Street corridor. Not to exclude Trinidad, of course! This way all of the development from 3rd, all the way to 15th and beyond has a particular unity that we can all get behind. I’m not a big fan of the parceling of a few blocks into a “district”.
Seems like my post almost became a rant. Sorry about that. It wasn’t intended that way. Just so you all know, I am a long time reader of this blog and a resident. Yay for 20002! And for Frozen Tropics!
