Atlas Wraps up Summer Film Series

Tonight at 8pm they've got Steel Magnolias. Saturday it's the Wiz (free tickets to this show!) at 5pm, and Roman Holiday at 8pm. Tickets are only $6 AND they have AC and will sell you drinks (but you are free to bring your own food). Way better than the movie theater, or fighting the mosquitos outside.

I saw a really wonderful show at the Atlas tonight called the Dinner Party. Some Delta Tower seniors did a reading from a Langston Hughes piece, there was a wonderful dancer, and a small band that did a couple of really interesting songs. Every person in the show was hugely talented and very entertaining. I'm not sure why the show didn't get any publicity, but they plan to do it every month until the big Intersections festival next year. It only cost $10, and it's really nice way to see a nice variety of acts. I'm looking forward to the show in October.

The Dinner Party was in yesterday's Daily Candy and a few other places.
