Arrest in Joseph Sharps Murder

MPD has arrested 19 year old Kwan Kearney is the November 8th murder of Jospeh Sharps (17). Sharps had walked to the store to buy candy with a friend, as was his nightly routine. Apparently the two were laughing as they walked down the street when a group containing Kearney took offense to the laughter, and Kearney pulled out a gun and shot both teens (the friend was shot in the leg). Sharps was a senior at Spingarn, and was making plans for college. He lived with his parents in the 1500 block of Queen Street, and died a couple of blocks away from home. Kearney was leading a different lifestyle. He's been charged, in an unrelated incident, with murdering someone else a week later. The Post has the full story.
