Also, 10% of the ring from this weekend (Friday late-night through Sunday evening) at Capital City Diner will go towards the same cause. Also, we're going
to have $7 bottomless mimosas on Saturday & Sunday 10am - 4pm as well as
$5 bloody marys.

Matt,
maybe between the two of us, we can raise more than the $400 donated by mayor elect gray after he and the entire city council missed the officer's funeral yesterday.

I love it when my decision to support a business is validated by the owners being about something a little more than the bottom line. Good work gents!

That whole Gray and the entire Council not going to the funeral was just weird. Is there something we don't know here? I thought it was basic Politics 101 - you always go to funerals for police and fire killed in the line of duty.

Gray's blaming it on staff scheduling was pretty weak.

Not sure why the rest of the Council didn't show.

mendhellson also blamed staffers saying he didn't know about the funeral. fenty showed up 90 minutes late. i read about the street closures in the post i think two days before. pretty weak.

Yes, I'm proud to have businesses like this in my neighborhood. Great form guys. I know it's tough enough to make a profit, and then to give it away for a good cause.
