I hear this will be the biggest HT in the city. I wonder if there'll be enough room for the manager to stock bagels that don't suck. They must have run out of shelf space at the Penn Ave SE location...

...I am given to understand that the carbon-fiber shopping carts provide the smoothest conveyance for your groceries that modern technology can deliver.

This Harris Teeter is awesome. Way bigger than the one on Potomac Avenue. They had a ton of free samples including lots of beer and wine. No more Giant for me.

I bought a small piece of fresh tuna, an ear of corn and fixed it for dinner.the store is huge and I only saw a little of it...I will definitely go back when it isn't crazy. I had some of the free samples (meatloaf and mashed potatoes) and they were yummy...
No more nasty Safeway for me..

Gotta say, was already excited to have a supermarket closer than CityVista, but the HT is definitely bigger than I had expected. Seemed to have a good selection too... Definitely a fan, even though there was no nut bar.

Thank goodness!I hope the riff raff stay at the Brentwood Giant and Maryland Ave/Bladensburg Rd Safeway so that I can shop in peace at HT.

Went for a big shopping run the other night with my wife at the new HT. On the whole, it was ok. Definitely more expensive than Safeway on many items, particularly produce and meats, but they do have a larger selection, particularly of specialty options, decent wines, craft beers and the HT line of products if very affordable. I'm not sure if HT will be my new 'go to' place, though it is by far the closest, but I will probably go there for some items. Hopefully competition will push down some of their prices.
