Could the H Street Corridor Get a Real Vietnamese Restaurant?

That's the question HstreetDC poses, and she thinks there's a good chance the answer could be yes.

Oh please oh please oh please.

I have been waiting for this for a long time... and I love all Vietnamese food, but please offer a great $8 bowl of Pho and I promise I will be in there twice a week.

it's kind of funny that she said before that she doesn't want to tease about things like this, because she knows that there can be problems before a lease is fully signed and all the details are set.

so, either she's changed her tune, or someone has signed a lease.

There are a zillion places to get pho in the DC area; but most of them actually aren't very good. I'm used to having to drive a long way to get decent pho here; if I could get it from a place in the neighborhood, that would be beyond the valley of the shadow of wonderful.

But even if they didn't have great pho, I'd still be excited; there's a heck of a lot more to Vietnamese cuisine than pho.

Please please please let me get what I want.

My mouth is already watering with the thought of... decent pho that is reasonably priced! Driving or metroing is awful with a hangover. But with the cure just walking distance, I am foaming STOKED!

I do so hope this happens - I could eat Vietnamese food all day long. I'd play for their stickball team.
