Cute mural. In general I'm not a fan of mural projects. I'd rather see the money put into trash pick up or more green space.

Why is it only "poor" neighborhoods were people decide that murals would be considered "beautification?"

i like the mural. there are a couple other large blank walls at the southern edge of the neighborhood that have potential. luckily, there is very little graffiti in trinidad. guess the little suburban turds that do most of the tagging haven't discovered the neighborhood yet.

We certainly need an answer to Madam's Organ mural on one of these blank walls, IMGoph. ;)

Tom A- I'm guessing this is funded by the gentleman that's been renovating that space. Or maybe it's just a friend of his. The artist also has a ton of paintings I see lined up on the wall while he's working on the mural.

There is a good bit of tagging in Trinidad, mostly simple and small in the alleys and odd spaces. Surely it's not from suburban kids but local youngsters.

The artist doing the work lives in the neighborhood. The project -- which includes another mural on the adjacent wall -- is part of the renovation of that corner building, which is to be a health food store/juice bar.

They keep the trash picked up and planted flowers in the tree boxes and get the local kids involved with the mural -- can't ask for a better neighbor.

Not sure where Tom A wants more green space (or how much you could get for the cost of a dozen cans of paint) as there is a large green space (about to be renovated) a block away from this mural...

The murals are done by the owner's friend from Cameroon. Love the addition to the neighborhood!
