WP: Stabbings in Carver Langston & Trinidad

Picture 5

The Washington Post reports the stabbing of a male in the 1700 block of H Street (around 10:30pm), saying only that the man was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries, but was still alive. Lest people get confused, let me point out that this is NOT connected to the strip of H Street that is the commercial corridor. That strip cuts off after the 1400 block, and gets replaced by Benning Road. This H Street is a residential street running through the middle of Carver-Langston/Kingman Park (the area sometimes goes by both names, and the Post seems to pick and choose depending on mood). But I would usually call this Carver Langston.

UPDATE 10:29am
+++++++++++++++

I somehow missed it the first time, but apparently two people were also stabbed in the 1300 block of Trinidad Ave (in Trinidad) around 12:45am. One was taken to the hospital, and the other drove himself. The two stabbings in Trinidad were part of the same incident (but not related to the one in Carver Langston), and a suspect has been arrested.

It's Carver/Langston. Kingman Park is south of Benning Road.

Wait, they didn't call it Trinidad?!?!

Perhaps this is progress?

9:22,
That depends on who you ask.

if it's north of benning, it's carver langston, not kingman park.

Why no mention of the two that were stabbed on Trinidad Ave. (reported on in the linked WP article)? THAT is definitely Trinidad.

@confoosed,
that is indeed Trinidad. I missed that the first time I scanned the piece.

@IMGoph,
I generally think of Kingman Park as south of Benning Road, but some people north of Benning identify with Kingman Park (and the Kingman Park Civic Association has a northern boundary of M Street NE).

But then I've had people across the street from me tell me they live on Capitol Hill...

inked: yeah, i've found that civic association boundaries are not to be trusted. the edgewood civic association claims all of eckington within their boundaries, for one.

Nothing the Kingman Park Civic Association says should be trusted. Its just a fake organization run by two wackos--a former ANC rep who has alienated the entire community, and another guy who lives across the river.

my goodness..this guy went on a rampage last night.

when the weather gets nice these thugs start gang banging, stabbing and shooting each other! Happens every spring...seems like the logical thing to do after being couped up in the house all winter...
