Open Studio DC

Saturday night I stopped by the gallery openings (Conner, G Fine Art, Industry Gallery) in the 1300 block of Florida Avenue (immediately north of H Street). Aside from a lively evening of looking at art, sipping wine, and people watching, my friends and I also enjoyed our first look at Open Studio DC (1348 Florida Avenue). Open Studio DC is a screenprinting studio for artists. Artists can work in the space for a predetermined period of time, or until they complete a certain work. It's an interesting addition to the block, and occupies the corner space which has been vacant since the departure of Nifty Thrift.
