Thursday May 5
Bring you coffee mug and head to The Center for Green Urbanism for Art, Coffee and Conversation.  Join a panel discussion with artists and curators who produced the show Mama Earth. Organic, fair trade Ethiopian coffee will be served. The Center for Green Urbanism is located at 3938 Benning Road, NE two blocks from Minnesota Avenue Metro; free parking is available in the rear or across the street at the Benning Road Library.


Saturday May 7
G Fine Art’s month-long exhibitions and poetry readings come to an end this weekend. At 2pm, Cathy Eisenhower, Kenneth Jacobs and Magus Magnus present “ALPHA Relegy 0.0.1.,” a digital performance.   While this event is free, please reserve a space by emailing annie.gawlak@gmail.com as seating is limited. G Fine Art is located at 1350 Florida Avenue NE.

The Brentwood Arts Exchange presents Big Ideas an exhibition by Sondra N. Arkin, Susan Finsen and Ellyn Weiss. The three artists have produced a collaborative site-specific installation, that aims to survey and embody a collective mindset within the Gateway Arts District.  The opening reception is scheduled from 5pm to 8pm.  The Brentwood Arts Exchangeis located just over Eastern Avenue at 3901 Rhode Island Avenue in Brentwood, MD
