Am I mistaken or was it the Sierra Club that opposes the overhead wires on the streetcars?

You are mistake . It's CHRS and the Comittee of 100 that are using the Wires as a reason to oppose streetcars.

Speaking of the H street shuttle, I saw one of their shuttles parked outside of Henderson Hall in Arlington. Thought it was kinda weird to see it in Arlington of all places, parallel parked on a side street.

Oh I don't know, transit that is run by electric power that can be powered by a variety of sources, especially renewable ones. Not that hard.
