H Street Bakes at the Pug Saturday
Stop by the Pug (1234 H Street) this Saturday from 11am-3pm and check out H Street Bakes. H Street Bakes is a recurring pop-up bakery at which local bakers sell their wares. It's part fun baked goods market, and part market research. The bakers involve hope to open a co-op bakery on H Street, but selling their goods now helps them learn more about their target market. Led by Granville's Executive Pastry Chef Kim Moffatt, this is the third monthly H Street Bakes. Don't miss out.

Oh good, We went to the Atlas one last month and the bread, mini pies, and cookies were sublime!

Somewhat related rant:
I dont understand this cupcake craze. Cake/cupcakes are an inferior dessert compared to many other desserts out there. Average cookies, average/bad ice cream, average/bad brownies, donuts, etc. are all better than excellent cupcakes.

some people... some people like cupcakes exclusively, while myself, I say there is naught nor ought there be nothing so exalted on the face of god’s grey Earth as that prince of foods... the muffin!

I stopped in at H St Bakes last month and I was blown away by the awesome variety of treats, and everything I tasted was really good! Definitely check it out.
