ZestFest: Music/Art/Fun in NoMa 9/20-9/30

ZestFest returns to the streets of NoMa next week, with art, music and community gatherings! More than 11 events take place at four locations in NoMa from September 20 – 30.

ZestFest kicks off with a wine reception at Union Center Plaza (810-840 First Street, NE) on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Over the next two weeks, eight lunch-time events feature concerts curated by Bloombars, chair massage by Lunar Massage, a pop-up bike repair shop from Bike & Roll, storytelling from the Story League, and much more. Participants will be able to paint a Zipcar, or enjoy a fitness demonstration from Project Fitness.

An all-inclusive Field Day on Saturday, Sept. 24, will feature field day games for both children and adults, face painting and food trucks from 4 to 7 p.m. Albus Cavus will present unique screenprinted T-shirts for $10. Then, Bloombars presents an evening concert by Cloud IX and Tamika Love Jones. A closing event on September 30 marks the return of Rock Band on the big screen (a big hit at least year’s ZestFest), along with screenprinted T-shirts from Albus Cavus.

For a full schedule and list of locations, visit www.zestfest.org and don’t miss two weeks of FUN UNLEASHED in NoMa! All events are free (except the screenprinted T-shirts) and open to the public.

ZestFest is organized by the NoMa Business Improvement District and the Pink Line Project, and sponsored by Zipcar, Todd Gray’s Watershed, Bike & Roll, Project Fitness, Lunar Massage, Bloombars, ScoutMob, and the Story League.
