Koffee Boutique Comes to H Street

I don't have a lot of info on this new place, but it's going in above Philadelphia Water Ice. It's a women's boutique. They hope to open in late January.

8:11,
I believe that the Star & Shamrock is open and serving food.

I'm really confused. The "koffee" thing makes me think it's like a coffee shop but then what is a women's boutique? Does that mean they sell clothes? Where the hell did Da pooSTAR get ice cream from?

9:49,
That would be Philadelphia water Ice.

@anonymous9:49

for the koffee colored ladies.

mahogany, ebony, etc, all shorthand for ethnic female shopper consumer marketing

Are you serious? I can't believe a business owner would do something that flagrantly racist.

3:37 is guessing. I did not ask about the name origin.

I was kicked out of The Star and Shamrock because I'm not an Irish Jew.

@Anon5:17

It's not racist, it's target marketing. Is the Baby Gap ageist? Is Lady Foot Locker sexist? SMH. Welcome to 2011 niche marketing.

Hey 5:17,

When manufacturers of stockings sell "flesh" colored stockings that are only the color of the flesh of pale people, is that racist towards the majority of people in the world with dark flesh?

Let the koffee colored people have their store and you can get yourself a "flesh" colored pair of stockings to balance out the karma of it all.

There are some fundamental differences between baby vs adults and women vs men and the clothes that they wear. Do you really feel that's the case with clothes between women of different skin tones or "races"?

Also, in regards to using the word flesh to describe some of color panty hose, even if you do feel it's a problem two wrongs have never made a right.

people are really not complaining about a clothing store targeting black woman are they? good god.

Thats probably one of the most ignorant things you ever said. Only people who HATE says stuff like that. The owner is doing the damn thing. For all you kno, that could be the owners NICKNAME. Ive purchased several things from Koffee Boutique and I cant walk any where without someone asking me where i got it from! ShoutOut to Koffee Boutique!

WOW are u serious?! I can't believe what I just read, sounds like your the racist! Are "Koffee" colored ppl the only ones that drink coffee??? I don't think so. + I never knew u can spell coffee w/a K. If u have ever been to a "Boutique" u would know what they sold. So instead of being judgemental 1st, ASK! You sound like u could "accessorize your life" too so stop by & support this new business on the up & coming H St Corridor instead of hating. I have purchased SEVERAL items from this establishment & they are FABulous & reasonable (esp since they can be seen on TV, worn by some successful women/stars). #TeamKoffeeBoutique~live love & accessorize your life
