Intersections Starts Tonight (Want to Win Free Tickets?)

The Intersections arts festival kicks off tonight at the Atlas (1333 H Street). It runs for three weeks, and features hundreds of performances and events. It's everything from live music, to theater, to photography, to dance. There are events that will appeal to all ages and tastes. They even have a lot of free events. INTERSECTIONS: A New America Arts Festival celebrates art as an inspiration for conversation and connection among artists and audience of all ages, races, cultures and art forms. INTERSECTIONS 2010 attracted over 6000 patrons to the Atlas Performing Arts Center, topped by 9000 at INTERSECTIONS 2011. The festival returns in February 2012 for twelve days of multidisciplinary performances with new opportunities for participation and audience engagement. The 2012 INTERSECTIONS festival will run from February 23 – March 11, 2012. To win 2 free tickets to a performance throughout the festival participants are encouraged to join the DC Film Office Fan Page on Facebook and be the 1000th “like” by February 27, 2012. 1000th "like" contests are obnoxious because everyone simply starts unliking the page to try to game it. I wish organizations knew this. #facebookrookies

what gonzo said. it's silly. although I didn't think about "unliking" and then liking again ad nauseum. I just thought no one would actually "like" until it's at 999. This is a great way to get people NOT to click "like."

But I performed there last night, and it's going to be a great festival!

Actually every time you "like" something (even if you had just previously "unliked" it), it adds to the buzz. You're basically posting the link to all your friends every time you do that.
