Toki Underground Closed Tonight Due to Employee Death
Toki Underground announced via Twitter that they will be closed tonight due to the death of a staff member. The restaurant will reopen tomorrow. Washington City Paper reports that owner Erik Bruner-Yang declined to identify the employee, or elaborate on the situation. Condolences to the whole staff, as well as to friends and family of the employee.

I knew this young man well. This is so tragic. He was perhaps one of the kindest souls I have ever met and he was absolutely thrilled about being part of this community and the team and Toki Underground. I am praying for his soul, his family and all those who knew him. He will be so missed.
