Chinito's Burritos Shout Out From The Kane Show

DSC_0019
A chicken taco, a carne asada taco, and a southwestern eggroll (fixings on the side)

Chinto's Burritos (635 Florida Ave) got a little radio (you can read it too) shout out from The Kane Show. Here's a snippet:

"The new burrito joint sports an open kitchen, check card ordering system and some of the most unique food items to ever grace my belly. My burrito was Korean style beef, fried rice, fresh tomato salsa, touch of sour cream and sriracha and glop of guac! An amazing fusion of everything I love Latin and Asian in a portable filling burrito."

I have been there a couple of times and I really like it as well. I think the meat needs a little more spice, but everyone's tastes are different in that regard. The chips and quac are delicious. Its a great addition to the neighborhood.

I keep forgetting this place exists. Just earlier tonight my gf and I were trying to think of a place to go nearby to get a burrito. Thanks for this.

have they extended their hours yet to accomodate the dinner crowd? also, have they been able to get the zoning adjusted for a few tables?

Meh. The Mexican food was not so exciting. The best thing on their menu is the egg roll. Now that is worth getting excited about, the other offerings were nothing special.

I'm surprised that the picture of the two broads hanging out the window isn't on this post as it normally is associated with all taco-related posts.

9:24,
I assure you that I have never used that photo in association with anything except Tacos Impala, or Impala.

It really is kind of racist.

9:36,
It was a picture of Tacos Impala. They worked there. I have another Tacos Impala picture with a Mexican dude hanging out the window. His name is Troy. He was one of the owners. He's currently building out Impala.

beg to differ with the 'meh' reviews, i think this is one of the best new places in the area. i had the shrimp scampi tacos, wife had the black been burrito with everything veggie. everything was fresh and delicious. liked the notecard ordering system to pick your ingredients. even though there was a line, they cranked out my order in less than 10 minutes. they could use some seating but the space is nicely done. i will be there often!

Went there for lunch today for the first time and thought the shrimp scampi with black beans and guac burrito was fantastic. Loved the quirkiness of this little taco shop--they tell you to dance while you wait or give someone a hug today while you wait for your order. Chinito's, I'll be your regular patron.

Today was my first visit as well. I got a chicken taco, a carne asada taco, and the eggrolls (I wanted to try a bunch of stuff). Everything was good. I like the tacos more than the eggroll. The carne asada had really great flavor. I would like to try the shrimp, or veggie tacos next time. They had what looked like a great lunch crowd to me, but the owner indicated that I was only seeing the first hint of the lunch rush. The salsas were all good, and I liked being able to choose from all the different hot sauces. The drink selection was also pretty cool. I saw Jarritos, Inca Cola, Sidral Mundial, aloe, coconut water, and Mexican (I think) Coke in the mix with the standards.

Chinito's is amazing. I highly recommend a burrito with chicken, pintos, grilled veggies and all the free fixings.

Chinito's is pretty good, but the ordering system is pretty confusing, we had no idea what to do when there was a line, and it can get pricey fast-- the $3.50 burrito becomes a $6.50 burrito when you add meat. Add chips and a drink and you're looking at $12 for lunch, wondering how you got there from seeing $3.50 on the menu.

Super kid friendly, too. Definitely love having it nearby. Tell your friends. The owner has a great attitude towards being in the neighborhood!
