Does anyone know what's being planned at the Baitul Khair (corner of 13th and H)? They are completely gutting the entire structure.

I'm not sure they planned on gutting it that far - if I remember right they were doing some work on a sub-basement a few weeks ago and a good amount of the building fell into the basement. Could be wrong, but DCFD and building inspectors were taking an active look at the result.

If it goes, I will be at an utter loss to find another one stop shop for all my most pressing needs: incense, oils, Shea butter, and especially Islamic cassette tapes.
