Join the Sticky Police

im baaaack

Or at least drive their car. Here's the deal, for every $25 you spend at Sticky Rice (1224 H Street) during the H Street Festival (September 15th) you get a raffle ticket. During Festival  the restaurant will hold a raffle with the winner taking home the Sticky Police Car.

Here are the other details:
1. The winner must agree to keep the Sticky Police paint job and logo untouched for at least 24 months.
2. The winner has the choice to drive the cop car to Sticky Rice DC and get 50% off of all food orders with the choice to have it served in the cop car.
3. No past or present employees are eligible.
4. The winner must be at least 18 years of age.
5. The winner must be able to legally register the car in his/her name.
6. Car is delivered "as is" (Don't worry... it purrs like a kitten).
7. Fake mustaches and cop glasses not  included. Fuzzy handcuffs are optional.

guess they got tired of paying parking tickets?

Well, they never paid their tickets... that responsibility will be inherited along with the car, if you're the lucky winner.

How is this legal? DC law prohibits this sort of thing- it sounds like an illegal lottery/raffle.

wow. you two are real downers.

you're not allowed to have fun in dc. everything must be serious all the time.

The main drawback with this contest is that you have to eat $25.00 in food at Sticky Rice.

At best I am unimpressed with the food there,at worst, I have been revolted.

The service there is worse than the food. At best, you get benign indifference, at worst, your server is surly.

Nsebang,
My recent experiences at Sticky Rice have been pretty good, & I've heard others talk about improved service. Maybe give them another shot?

Agree- the raffle may be gamble, but the biggest gamble of all is spending money at Sticky Rice- never know what you're gonna get, and it's rarely worth what I've paid.

Much rather go to a place that's consistently good (a la Atlas Room)

Tots are consistent, you uppity pricks.

I was at Sticky Rice just the other day and I find their food and service to be consistently good. It was a busy night and our waitress was slammed but very attentive. If you are a high end sushi snob it ain't the place for you. If you are looking for a fun place to eat I think it is great. Their contest sound fun..lighten up you haters.

I had a burger. It is almost impossible to fuck up a burger. Yet it was completely dry and almost inedible. The tater tots are fine, but you can buy them frozen at the supermarket and make them at home.

Our server was more interested in flirting with a table on the other side of the restaurant than take our order.

I've been twice and see no need to go back. We have plenty of options on H street for food.

The greater question is why in the hell you ordered a burger at a sushi joint.

A burger! WTF. That is exactly why I always take online reviews with a grain of salt.

If the best thing about your place is that it's able to cook frozen tater tots, then that's a sign.

I admit the tater tots are consistent, but that's about it.

I'm a huze fan of the Godzirra. I can't make it at home, and it's very tasty every time.

Bet that I have been to Sticky Rice over a hundred times and I've rarely had a problem with service, and the food has always been good. I've even had good delivery service!

I ordered a burger because any idiot can make a burger, and its on the menu. If they lack the skill and ability to properly cook a burger then perhaps they shouldn't put it on the menu.

I don't really think that Sticky Rice is a sushi joint. Most sushi joints have just sushi and not much else on the menu.

Why would you order tater tots at a sushi restaurant? Because its on the menu.

If it this burger that "any idiot can make" was so terrible, did you send it back? What was their response?

Sounds like we have a hater in the house.

nsebang's logic about why he ordered the burger is why I always order the "Anonymous Message Board Complaint" at restaurants.

I like their Pork BBQ sandwich a lot when I don't get rolls, don't let them forget the slaw tho!
