logo_homepage

Bikram Yoga Capitol Hill has a big New Year's special coming up that allows you to purchase a one year membership (complimentary mat rental included if you buy before 12/8) for around 1/3 off the normal cost (i.e., you pay $949). More info on the special, and on holiday classes, after the jump.

New Year's Resolution Special Now Available with Complimentary Mat Rental for 12 months Through December 8th!
Commit Now to Your Health & Well-Being for the Coming Year
Make 2013 your best year yet! Commit to your health and well-being with the New Year's Resolution Special -- a 12-month membership for $949 (reduced from $1,440) available through December 31st, 2012. The Special is available online and at the studio

Yogis who purchase the Special by December 8th will be offered complimentary mat rental for their entire membership year!

If you currently have a membership but would like to take advantage of the Special, simply purchase it before the December 31st and your 12-months will begin when your current package expires.   Additionally, you purchased a 10-Class Pass in November and have opted for the Special, we can apply the 10-Class Pass payment to the $949.

Gift certificates are available online and at the studio and can be applied to the Special.

Noon Express Class!
Monday - Thursday Starting Today
Pressed for time during the holidays?  You're not alone.  Several students have requested a truncated class during the day that enables them to squeeze yoga in during their lunch hour.  As such, we are delighted to offer the Express class at noon on Monday - Thursday beginning December 1st.  The Express class is 60 minutes instead of 90 and includes two sets of each posture until the first official water break, and one set of each posture thereafter.  All noon classes during the week are $12.

Special New Year's Eve Class
Ring in the New Year in Final Savasana!

The studio will be open but have a revised schedule during Christmas and New Year's - please stay tuned for details.  However, we wanted to get word out that Elizabeth will be leading our 7th Annual Special Silent Candlelight class at 10:30 pm on December 31st.   This class is open to all Bikram Yoga Capitol Hill students.  We just ask that no first-timers attend because they'll be lost without the dialogue.  The class will be followed by a wonderful raw food buffet catered by Kepra's Raw Food & Juice Bar!

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback.  Hope to see you soon in the HOT room!

Warmly,

Elizabeth

They make you pay 'rent' for a mat? That seems strange, when you can buy one for a couple bulks. Also, who wants to be all up on a mat that someone else was sweating all over.....no matter how many times you wash it. *gross*

Thanks for the feedback, Anonymous. I'm Elizabeth, the owner of the studio. Some people prefer to rent mats so they do not have to carry one while walking to and from the studio. Our mats are disinfected with antimicrobial tea tree oil daily and washed in another antimicrobial solution weekly. Beyond that, students are not in direct contact with the mat. A large towel is placed over it.
Enjoy your day!

Elizabeth - Thanks for running a responsible business in the neighborhood and bringing yoga to H st. I practice at Yoga District and most likely won't try Bikram but I commend you on taking the big risk of opening a business.

Liz: I appreciate you and the services you offer, having lived in the area for over 6 years and having no businesses that I would really have wanted to frequent other than your studio and a few others (shout out to the Pug, Sidamo and the Argonaut) for a long time. Clearly you were not short sighted or you would not have established your business on H far ahead of a lot of others (including Boundary Road - nothing against them). See you at the 6 pm!

I'm opening a yoga/24-hour massage parlor called Happy Bending. You can rent mats, but there is no tea tree oil. Forewarned is forearmed.

As a beautiful single white woman doing yoga is important in helping me find a man.

It's still not funny and you forgot to use your pseudonym, Amanda. And I'm still goin' out, Karen.

Love the studio and the practice. It's changed my life (dropped 30lbs and I am, for the first time in my life, flexible). Probably not for you if you are grossed out by sweat, but I can't recommend it enough.

Speak for yourself, I think The Amanda troll is hilarious. Plus I'm eager to know a little bit more about the beautiful single white woman perspective!

OK, Amanda.
