Steak & Ice to Open 12/12

The guys from Taylor Gourmet announced via Twitter today that their newest venture, Taylor Charles Steak & Ice (1320 H Street), will very soon be serving up cheese steaks to delighted patrons.

Casey and David are well known for putting a lot of thought and research into both their restaurants, and their food. I can't wait to sample the fare. Check out this Washington Post piece for more on what you can expect to see on the menu.

Eater reports that you'll be able to snag tasty cheesesteaks starting 12/12.

Isn't it sort of disingenuous for a tweet from Taylor to say "they" as if they aren't the same people opening the new restaurant? #edgy

Taylor Charles Steak & Ice not Charles Taylor Steak & Ice. Neither on exactly rolls off the tongue, but one definitely is a bit more war criminal than the other.

Free Turkey's,
That's what I get for posting when I'm tired. Honestly though, Charles Taylor still makes me think of Chuck Taylor's before I think of the war criminal.

Will patrons be permitted to use the condiments of their choosing on these sandwiches or will this be another North Korea-like situation where mayonnaise is VERBOTEN?
