Steak & Ice to Open 12/12
The guys from Taylor Gourmet announced via Twitter today that their newest venture, Taylor Charles Steak & Ice (1320 H Street), will very soon be serving up cheese steaks to delighted patrons.
@steakandice is announcing it's OPENING date this week. They're also inviting H Street'ers from FB & Twitter to the opening party. #Edgy

Casey and David are well known for putting a lot of thought and research into both their restaurants, and their food. I can't wait to sample the fare. Check out this Washington Post piece for more on what you can expect to see on the menu.

Isn't it sort of disingenuous for a tweet from Taylor to say "they" as if they aren't the same people opening the new restaurant? #edgy

Taylor Charles Steak & Ice not Charles Taylor Steak & Ice. Neither on exactly rolls off the tongue, but one definitely is a bit more war criminal than the other.

That's what I get for posting when I'm tired. Honestly though, Charles Taylor still makes me think of Chuck Taylor's before I think of the war criminal.
