Falafel Mondays at Shawafel

DSC_0006
Off days (Mondays, Tuesdays, ect.) are excellent opportunities to score some really good deals at local spots. For example, every Monday in 2013 is Falafel Monday at Shawafel (1322 H Street). That means you can pick up one of their delicious falafel sandwiches for just $5. Perfect for Meatless Mondays!

Would loveto know who else on the strip has Sun/Mon/Tues deals. I find myself not wanting to cook Sunday night or wanting something easy on Mon/Tues

Star & Shamrock has $5 Reubens on Wednesdays and I believe Granville Moores has half-price moules on Mondays (need to check).

Also Sticky Rice does half-priced sushi after 10:30 on Mondays.

half priced sushi after 10:30 on Mondays. My god, what a deal. How have I allowed myself to pass up such an offering?

pretty sure stick rice does that to liquidate their old fish before they get a new shipment in tuesday. not saying that it's a bad deal or that the fish is bad, but that's why they do it.

Thanks for the tip about Shawafel. Stopped by today for the $5 falafel deal. Tasty and filling for only $5. Game-changer for those "I'm hungry but too lazy to make dinner" days.

Agronaut has wing night Monday (25 cents) and taco Tuesday ($2-$3). H Street Country Club has taco Wednesday ($1), but only at the bar, which can fill up. Dangerously Delicious Pies has date night during the week and I guess Cusbah's started half-priced wine bottles on Monday.

There's also the all week specials before 7 - granville moore's has $8 1/2 order moules or burgers and biergartenhaus has $5 loaded fries, hamburger sliders or garden currywurst.

Hey Inked,

I think you need to do a post about the Red Apron sandwiches in the market. IF you haven't tried them yet, well here's your excuse.

I don't care for falafel.

I'd love to see Argo bring back the old fried chicken nights; but I think they're gone for good, sadly.

Fatty, planning to do so. Been busy with work, and had to pick up a new power cord today as mine mysteriously crapped out on my Sunday night.

10:25, I did mention it on Twitter.

The Porkstrami sandwich at Red Apron is ridiculous. Maybe the best meat/bread combination available anywhere. Do it, tomorrow.
