Fans of Bluegrass night at Sova (soon to become H Street Coffehouse and Cafe) can breath a little easier. The Argonaut (1433 H Street) will take up the tradition. Catch the free shows every Thursday from 8-11pm (upstairs bar).

Is it every Thursday now? Didn't it used to be every-other Thursday?

I never made it to these at Sova. Are these performances by existing bands? Or are they sessions?

Do you contact the Argo for booking a group or is there someone that organizes it?

Is "coffeehouse and cafe" not redundant?

Scott -- are these intended to be performances by established bands? Or are these (the new ones and the bluegrass on Thursday) going to be sessions?

This is great. Two blocks from my place. Glad the excellent bluegrass continues. I just hope the new coffee shop can work to replicate the great schedule SOVA had in this regard. So far I'm wondering since it seems they pushed bluegrass somewhere else. Only time will tell I suppose.
