A look at what's going on in Trinidad, on H Street, and in the larger area north of Capitol Hill.

WBJ: Carolina Kitchen Owner To Open Spot on H

The Washington Business Journal reveals that the owner of the Carolina Kitchen, which serves up low country food in Prince George's County, has plans to open a different concept at 1309 H Street. The owner previously had planned to open a restaurant called Sweet Charleston's at 1348 H Street (the Evolve double space that is now slated to become a RedRocks Pizzeria). The Business Journal article didn't have many details, but did say there was mention of a rooftop hookah bar, and an opening before the end of the year.

I was wondering when we would finally get a second hookah bar option.

One is too many. Hope that idea is shelved on favor of something that'll actually succeed.

I'm waiting for that trend to die out.
