Info on the Sunday Stabbing at 14th & Maryland Ave

Here's a statement from MPD (via a local email list) regarding an alarming mugging on 14th Street:

"On Sunday, July 14, 2013, at approximately 12:39AM, the victim reported while walking southbound in the 600 block of 14th Street, NE, with another individual, they were approached by a subject, described as a black male, 6'2", 240 lbs, who demanded their property.  A struggle ensued that resulted in the victim and the other individual sustaining non-life threatning injuries.  Both individuals were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for their injuries. 
The suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.
The case is currently being investigated by Detectives from the First District Detectives Unit.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Anonymous information may also be submitted to the department's TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging to 50411.  Additionally, please call 911 if you observe suspicious persons or activities."

This occurred on Capitol Hill.
