If you've attended the H Street Festival in recent years you have surely noticed a very oddly dressed gathered around an equally strangely adorned automobile. These folk are members of the Baltimor Rock Opera Society ("BROS").  Every year they draw large crowds, and bring smiles to the faces of those young and old. Here's what they have planned for this year:

Get ready DC, the BROS are coming back to the H Street Festival! We’re packing up our guitars and driving down 295 in our beloved artcar, the Bröthership, to challenge the denizens of DC to GÜITÄRMAGEDDON!!!

In honor of our upcoming Gründlehämmer Tour, we have decided to challenge the denizens of DC to master the power held within the guitar! This year brave volunteers will ascend to the place of epicosity upon the Rock Deck and engage a Brojan Warrior in an epic air guitar battle!

The harder you rock out, the more sweet moves you pull, the faster your Power Meter fills up! What happens when it goes critical? You’ll have to find out!!!

If you like what you see at the Festival, you should check out some of their other events. No slouches, they recently performed at the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage. Before that they put on an original rock opera production called Murdercastle, that told the story of America's first serial killer H. H. Holmes & how he used the 1893 Chicago World's Fair to lure in his victims. That tale should be somewhat familiar to readers of Erik Larson's The Devil in the White City.
