Tom, 1st (first) Street, not I (Eye) Street.

I don't think there is any retail open at 4AM on the 800 block of 1st St. NE either...there's a couple of lunchtime sandwich shops (Cafe Phillips, and two of the set back in courtyards in governent/office buildings), but definitely nothing late night. The video looks like this is a convenience store or corner grocery of some sort, if someone can identify the name of the store that would be useful info here.

I don't think the name of the store is useful at all. Either you saw these three people at 4am on October 17th on the 800 block of 1st St or you didn't. What, you think knowing the name of the store would suddenly jog your memory when all those facts and video of the perps wouldn't?

Knowing the name of the store will just unfairly associate that store with the isolated criminal act of these three dirtbags.

I thought I saw on NBC4 that the crime was committed on the 800 block of 1st Street NE but the alleged assailants used the victim's credit card at the 7-11 on H Street.

The victim is a friend and CNN colleague of mine.

Here's the story of what happened:

Okay, so the NBC article clarifies what happened.

The victim was robbed in the 800 block of 1st Street NE, which is roughly where CNN is located. He seems to live in the area, my guess is Loree Grand because he references "the bridge".

His credit card was later used at the 900 block of H Street NE, which is roughly where H Street Connection/7-11 is located.

So you either saw the mothafucka in the Adidas jacket there or you didn't.

I'm confused by this video. There's a woman (in the Adidas jacket) and two men... are they all suspects? I'm very sorry to hear about the CNN employee.
