Anyone who rides the X2 with any regularity knows that you can sometimes encounter some real characters. Most of the time, the bus ride is completely benign, but one unfortunate rider was recently the victim of a robbery while on-board. Luckily, the victim quickly alerted MPD, & they got the guy. Read the story after the jump.
On Saturday, November 16, 2013 at approximately 9:45 PM, a complainant reported that he was the victim of a Robbery. The complainant reported that while on a Metro bus in the 1200 block of H Street, NE. A suspect approached him, produced a knife and demanded his property. After obtaining the complainant’s property the suspect left the scene. The complainant observed an Officer in the 1200 block of H Street and advised him about what had just happened. The officer immediately gave a description of the suspect to other officers in the PSA. Within moments a suspect was stopped and after an investigation by Detectives from the First District the suspect was placed under arrest for Robbery.

Great timing, & great work from MPD!

the great thing about sub-human animals is that they are not very intelligent

Let us say the Police Presence on the H St corridor is quite high and the MPD is willing to run busts
on WMATA.

I saw some guy get taken off the X2 and arrested.

I really wish WMATA would run a few undercover officers on the X2. The bus drivers usually just focus on getting to the end of the route.

If there were some U/C officers, we might supress some of the nutty behavior.

the X2 is always an experience. we ride it between Penn Quarter/Chinatown and H St. if it's nice out, we like walking though.
