Score FREE Tickets to a National Symphony Orchestra Concert at the Atlas

OPENING CONCERT!

The National Symphony Orchestra will make Capitol Hill and H Street, the focus of its free community engagement activities between January 7 and 13, 2014.

The full orchestra plays a special opening concert at historic H Street corridor’s Atlas Performing Arts Center, led by NSO Assistant Conductor Ankush Kumar Bahl and featuring soprano Aundi Marie Moore.
Program to include:
BEETHOVEN: Overture to Coriolan
COPLAND: Three Latin-American Sketches – Nos. 2 & 3
IVES: The Unanswered Question
SIBELIUS: “Valse Triste” from Kuolema
BARBER: Knoxville: Summer of 1915
STRAVINSKY: Dumbarton Oaks
PIAZZOLLA: Oblivion
ADAM SCHOENBERG: Finding Rothko – movements 2 & 3
PROKOFIEV: Classical Symphony

Tickets are FREE but must be reserved ($2 per ticket service fee). Seating is limited on a first-come, first-served basis.
