New Bank of America ATM Location Opening Soon

CAM00934.jpg

You may have noticed the new Bank of America signage going up at 1102 H Street. This is a new 24 hour ATM, and it should be operational by the first of the month.

Wow there's already another one 1 block away at the corner of 10th & H

Yeah, and the door is not secured and people pee in there. Besides, the whole strip-mall isn't long for this world, so just as well they're putting one in place now.

If it is like the new one on 8th street SE, (Barracks Row) then it should be much more secure than that one at 10th & H. You can only enter by card, the door locks behind you, and it is well lit. Im glad to see something besides a bar.

Yes---H Street more civilized by the day. Sick of the pig sty that is the 10th & H ATM---card only access should solve the problem.

what's going to happen to the one on 10th?

I've looked around and have been unable to find anything online about an estimated start date for redevelopment of the H Street Connection. I'm guessing it may have been delayed somewhat since the 7-11 is somewhat new-ish. Has anybody heard anything?

last i read, it was 2016 when the development would break ground.

I spoke to Rappaport a few years back at a DCBIA event and I was told that the phasing of the development will begin when the Streetcar begins. The 7-11 being new-ish has nothing to do with it. I was told by someone else that he 7-11 will have a place in the new development.

My guess, there is nothing really pushing Rappaport to go ahead with the proposed development. I think they should because it is a long time coming.
