Reader John Healey sent in this photo he snapped of The Pursuit Wine Bar, which is scheduled to open June 14th at 1421 H Street. This was originally slated to be the home of Angelico Pizzeria. The Pursuit will offer more than 40 wines by the glass. They will also serve premium cocktails. No details yet, or what sort of food they will offer. The south side of H Street's 1400 block is really starting to fill up!

Does anyonw know what is going on with the old sun and moon building on the corner of 14th. I thought a pizza place was going in there? Also what is going on at the OHIO?

Opening June 14th, not July 14th.

1:36,
Agreed. Very under the radar.

Angelico was the same owners as the guys who were supposed to open a pizza place in the old Sun & Moon building. They just suddenly stopped one day. I have noticed recent work at the old Ohio space.

2:13,
Right you are. I MIGHT need new glasses.

Looks to me like we got enough pizza places now, in addition to places that sell pizza as part of their menus...

@ anon 2:08- not sure about the old sun and moon building, but to guess I'd say nobody has taken that over because the renovation was so god-awful (Taja, if I recall) that it's hard to imagine anybody being able to do anything with that space until the whole thing is ripped out and redone. Next time you're walking by just look at the finishes-- a total mess.

No idea about the Ohio. I see movement over there from time to time and it appears to have been gutted but that's been going on for years. I'm sure a lot of these stagnating projects will find new life as the apartments at 14th and Maryland near completion.

One day the streetcar will fulfill its goal of intra-neighborhood transportation and make the insurmountable hurdle of walking 8-10 blocks a thing of the past
