I spoke to one of the owners of DC Harvest (517 H Street) yesterday, and he has passed on a short teaser of menu items he plans to offer:

PASTA - Fresh Homemade Kale/Whole wheat Agnolotti filled with homemade Ricotta served with yellow tomato confit, eggplant and fresh marjoram

ENTREE - Zatar seasoned Turkey Breast (selected over chicken for health benefits, and also because they have a great local source) with kamut, shitake mushrooms, swiss chard, pan jus and garnished with crispy turkey skin cracklings

DAILY SPECIAL FOR THURSDAY - Herb Crusted Crispy Porchetta Roast (sliced for plating) topped with Morstada (candied fruit/mustard sauce) served with braised broccoli rabe.

Each day of the week will have a special that you can only get on that day.  So if you love the Porchetta, then you should become a Thursday regular.

Everything they serve is made from scratch in house, and is locally sourced. As you would expect, this means the menu shifts seasonally. Fresh homemade pasta will be a staple on the menu. The owner spoke a lot about the bar they are building. It's curved, and topped with Carrara Marble. They will have a carefully selected wine list, local craft beers, and specialty cocktails. They hope to open in late August.

You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.

These offerings seem delicious. I can't wait to give myself over to the menu.
