All Metrobuses Will Stop Running Tonight at 9pm

Just wanted to give a little warning that the weather has caused Metro to suspend service tonight (Thursday, March 5th) at 9pm. Service is expected to resume at 4am on Friday on a Moderate Snow Plan. Press release below.

Metrobus service to be suspended at 9 p.m. due to expected conditions
MetroAccess to remain suspended Friday morning
In the interest of safety, all Metrobus service (all routes, all lines) will be suspended at 9 p.m. today due to expected hazardous road conditions. The current weather forecast calls for temperatures to drop significantly over the next several hours to an expected low of 10 degrees tonight. This has the potential to cause extremely hazardous, icy conditions on the roads.
Any bus trip that is scheduled to begin prior to 9 p.m. will operate to the end of the line. Any trip that originates at or after 9 p.m. will be cancelled.
Metrobus service is expected resume at 4 a.m. Friday on a Moderate Snow Plan, which keeps buses from operating on hilly terrain, narrow streets and other problem areas. Some routes are suspended under the Moderate Snow Plan, while others operate on detours. CLICK FOR DETAILS AND MAPS
The decision to suspend service was made by Metro's Emergency Command Center, which has been monitoring weather and road conditions throughout the day. Customers are encouraged to sign up for MetroAlerts for their bus route to receive updates.
MetroAccess service will remain suspended until at least noon Friday. An exact time for service restoration has not yet been determined.
Metrorail is operating normally, both above and below ground. The rail system will remain open until its normal closing time, midnight tonight.
