MPD Seeks to ID & Locate a Suspect in Intent to Commit a Sexual Offense

Suspect Sought in Kidnapping and Assault With the Intent to Commit a Sexual Offense:
Area of 11th and G Streets, Northeast

(Washington, DC) - The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Kidnapping and Assault With the Intent to Commit a Sexual Offense in the area of 11th & G Streets, Northeast.

On Sunday, May 10, 2015, at approximately 2:45 am, an adult female accepted a ride and entered the suspect's vehicle.  The driver assaulted the victim with the intent to commit a sexual act and refused to let her exit the vehicle.

The suspect is described as an adult Middle Eastern male, with a light complexion, a slim build, and short black hair with a widow's peak.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black 4 door sedan with grey or beige interior, with an Uber cab decal affixed to the left rear passenger vent window.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.

If this was an uber trip, then when can't they just look at her account to see who the driver was? Uber should have all his information. I feel like something is off here.

it sounds horrible, but it sounds like a not very competent female saw a "u" on a window and chose to go for a ride.

on a more important note, please note that it was a middle eastern male that is a suspect and not a black male as the suspect in this crime
