Screen Shot 2015-06-08 at 7.13.29 AM

I still haven't seen an agenda, but there is an ANC 5D meeting tomorrow and I expect this to be an interesting one.

What: Monthly public meeting of Advisory Neighborhood Commission ANC 5D
When: 7-8:30pm
Where: MPD 5D Station, 1805 Bladensburg Road

UPDATE
++++++++++++++

I just heard back from a Commissioner and it sounds like the Chair has yet to circulate an agenda (typical for ANC 5D, but not for other ANCs), so nobody is quite sure what the meeting will cover. I have learned that the agenda should include a zoning matter from ANC 5D06.

ANC5D for the win on transparency and open government responsive to citizens! A special thank you to the Chair for the extra special efforts made to ensure that there are not agendas circulated for the meetings that are held outside the boundaries in hopes that few people attend or demand accountability.

When will the homeowners hold the chair accountable for her devious actions and efforts to undermine progress in this commission?

@9:44 - good question! I wish people in ANC 5D05 would stop voting for her and demand she be accountable. They are the only voters that have power to do so while the rest of the citizens in 5D have to live with the mess she creates outside her own single member district.

I assume this would be a no brainer for most folks, but if everyone could refrain from using racial slurs I'd appreciate it.

So nothing on the recall?

inked said...

It's not on the agenda, but I would not be surprised at all if it came up during the meeting. Right now the recall originators are in the process of gathering signatures. I heard that India and Kathy Henderson were both out gathering signatures to recall one of Kathy's political opponents this weekend.

whats not on the agenda is this
We have been informed that a member of ANC 5D has visited different TD Bank branches around the city requesting a change in signers and to access the account and that this is causing concerns among bank branch staff.

As a preemptive measure to protect the assets of ANC 5D, I have requested that the Office of Finance and Treasury (OFT) place a freeze on the account and that custody of ANC 5D’s checkbook be maintained at the Office of the DC Auditor. Because this is an administrative issue within the ANC, I recommend that your ANC meet with Mr. Simon, Director of Advisory Neighborhood Commissions to assist in resolving this matter. We will be in contact with Mr. Simon and once the issues have been resolved we can notify OFT to remove the freeze and return checkbook to the ANC. In the meantime, those authorized to issue checks on behalf of the ANC may do so at the ODCA office, with adequate supporting documentation. Once the checkbook has been received in our office, the freeze can be removed from the account.
