Fatal Stabbing Yesterday in the 1300 Block of Okie Street

MPD is investigating an early morning stabbing that occurred about 6:52 am yesterday in the 1300 block of Okie Street in Ivy City. Fifth District MPD officers responded to a call regarding an aggravated assault and found an adult male suffering from stab wounds. The man was transported to a hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as 28 year old Diante McLeod of NE. Mr. McLeod's murder was captured on video. The Washington Post has a story on the homicide.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
