Bardo Brewpub (1200 Bladensburg Road) has an unusual event coming up. On Saturday November 21st (8-11:30pm) they will play host to a DC Square Dance Party organized by the DC Square Dance Collective. Bardo has an indoor space, and it's sounds like the dancing will take place there. Admission is $5. This event is 21+ Full details from the Facebook event page are available below.
We're on! The DC Square Dance is temporarily moving to NORTHEAST while our regular venue is being renovated. Join us at Bardo Brewpub for a cozy evening of hot fiddle tunes, rollicking dances, and delicious local beer, Saturday, November 21st! Bardo has an indoor bar where you can sample some of the best stuff brewed in the District, and a sweet sweet wooden dance floor. We are oh so VERY excited about dancing in this new space!

Our own local callers Gabe Popkin and Bradley Kennedy will be calling the dances for you, with tunes from one of Virginia's finest young string bands: Hannah Johnson on fiddle, Heather Coiner on guitar, and Ben Stowe on banjo, with local Kevin Enoch thumpin' the bass.

Admission is $5 cash at the door, and Bardo will have beer for sale. As always, no experience or partner necessary. Anyone can ask anyone to dance, and there is no lesson - we'll teach you the figures as you go along. Just walk on in and dance!

We regret that this event is 21+. Younger folks, stay tuned for our all-ages dances to resume at St. Stephens in 2016!

Can't wait to see y'all soon --
The DC Square Dance Collective
